Sometimes, taking time off to recharge your battery is long overdue. It's something that needs to be done and you know it. It's just a matter of doing it and taking a few days off from the grind of your goals and aspirations.
You can't just go through the grind every single day relentlessly without giving your mind, body and soul a break. Sometimes, you just need to decompress and clear your mind, reflect on how far you've come and where you're going.
To be able to clear your mind of the clutter, the pressures, people, social media, the world, life, it felt really good. Sometimes life gets in the way where you're so engulfed and entrenched in your journey, that you forget to take time to relax. It’s wake up and go which can be a detriment to our mental health sometimes.
We get caught up in our goals, trying to get so much done at once and we lose track of what’s important to us. Our minds are geared to just keep going and keep chugging away and eventually our bodies shut down. I know I’ve written so many blogs about accomplishing goals, staying motivated and inspired and I forgot to address us resting ourselves when we need to.
Clearing your mind is a must no matter how you look at it. Some need a vacation to do it and some of you just need to be home alone, to yourself and not doing anything. Whatever it takes, just do it, you'll thank yourself later. It's perfectly fine to take time for yourself and be on your own time. The grind will be there when you return.
If your mind and gut aren’t right, the rest of your body isn’t either. Reflect, recalibrate and refocus, remember that.
This will be the last week of blogs for the year as I normally take the last two weeks off to recharge my battery and start content for the next year.
