The 'Alphabet City' series came to me at a time where there was so much going on in the inner cities of America. Violence, gangs, drugs, death, murder and mayhem and it's been going on for decades. We hear the stories on the news, we see the atrocities going on from a certain perspective but not the people in these communities. You may see it on YouTube but the reality is, a lot of it is edited, you're not seeing the day to day from a person who owns a funeral home, a business, a young kid trying to make it and losing his family along the way.
