Insight into my most controversial book, "I Woke Up A Black Man." The concept behind it, why I wrote it, why I felt it was necessary to write it and the controversial book cover.
The biggest part of working hard is working smarter and not harder. Do what works for you, not what everyone else is doing. You determine what works for you, no one else.
With all of the work I’m constantly working on, I wanted to share where I get my work ethic from. It’s from a few places but the main one is my parents. They always give their all into their jobs and I acquired that from them. Their knowledge in the field they work in, I ended up doing similar things (for now) and they’re smart and inquisitive. The other aspects of my work ethic come from a drive to succeed, being an athlete and being competitive as ever. I’ll break down these aspects...
Trying to win the race to prove to others you made it will always be a lose situation in the end. I talk about how your journey is a marathon and not a quick race.
I talk about how my competition is me and me only. I don't care about others, what they're doing, it's about becoming the best me on an everyday basis.
The one thing I've learned is not everyone can go on your life journey with you. You'll probably take a handful with you, I talk about this in my blog.
