Supporting Self-Published Authors

A writer and author’s journey is not easy at all. When they go through the process of writing a book, there’s a lot of time that goes into it. Brainstorming, outline, chapter layout, writing the book, editing and proofreading, formatting, publishing it on major platforms, book synopsis, marketing, there’s so many elements to it.

When they finally get to the stage of their book being published, they’re tired and in hopes of finding readership. Supporting self-published authors and their journey makes a huge difference in their lives. Social media is full of content and most people want to be entertained on there so that’s the challenging part of promoting yourself on there.

Book festivals are a huge component to authors getting some notoriety and going to those help in so many ways. It allows us to engage, meet people in person, sign books and you get to learn of our stories. I’ll admit, I spend more time going to book festivals in the city I live in than posting content on social media.

Liking our content and sharing it on your social media platforms help us too. Even if you don’t have a huge following, all it takes is 1-2 people to look into our work and that can spark so much. We appreciate anything and everything that comes our way, especially when we don’t have the backing of big publishing companies who invest into your book.

Being on podcasts helps us, even if we invest a little money into it. Doing magazine interviews and features is a great thing for us too. A huge thank you to those who have platforms that allow us to share our work in a positive way. Utilizing Fiverr has helped me in a lot of ways, any good exposure goes a long way.

A lot of us are writing content for the present time but also for the future so if you read any of our content, think about how much it will help if you share our books, our blogs and our work. That’s my blog for today, thank you for reading, be good and go accomplish your goals!
