Today’s blog is an important topic of discussion we need to have. When we fail, do we win or lose? I’m going to go out on a limb and say both. Not the perspective you were expecting, right? Well, I’m going to explain it from my thought process and perspective because at the end of the day, there’s no right or wrong answer to this.
When you fail, you lose in the moment but from a longevity standpoint you win. Let’s discuss the lose part of this. When you fail, you fall on your butt, you feel down, less of yourself and questioning yourself. Whether you want to continue on your journey or do you just pack it up and move on with your life.
In the moment, you’re ready to move on, losing doesn’t feel good. Sometimes losing prepares you for the wins. Losing creates toughness and resilience if you think about it from that perspective. Your feelings and emotions aren’t in the right space when you fail and you’re not feeling yourself.
When you reflect on it later and think about things, you realize it will lead to some wins if you keep going. Maybe that investment didn’t workout the way you wanted it to. Or you losing in something you wanted badly and you know that you have to improve and get better at what you’re working toward.
You win when you understand that failure isn’t the end. When you know that continuing on your journey to greatness requires consistency, discipline and effort. A lot of days, you won’t be motivated or inspired, but you can surely do what’s necessary to get to the next step on your journey.
If it was easy, we’d all be wealthy and living our best lives. How much failure are you willing to endure? How many losses are you willing to take before you see that big win? Only you can answer that through looking at your reflection in a mirror that will always tell you your truth.
Food for thought…that’s my blog for today, I thank you for reading, be good and go accomplish your goals!
