The Small Successess Count

Today’s blog is a necessary one to write. It’s a reminder to let you know that anything that you finish or accomplish counts towards where you’re going in your life. And here’s something you don’t know about me…I don’t celebrate any of my small feats and successes.

A prime example of this is when I write blogs and publish them on my website. Or when I turn these blogs into 10+ minute podcasts, I don’t celebrate any of these things. It’s something that’s second nature to me and part of my routine.

Granted I’ve been doing it for years, there’s no emotion when I finish a blog, and post it on my website. I’ve written close to 500 blogs or more by this point and 400 podcasts.

What I’m trying to say is, we should be celebrating our small feats a lot more. I’m working on it, it’s not easy, especially when I’m focused on the bigger goals of where I want to be when it comes to my books, these blogs and my podcast.

Growth comes from doing the small things that lead to accomplishing the big things. I totally understand that the repetition of things we do feel monotonous and routine but we have to count our blessings we get to do what we love.

I’m not saying that we should celebrate our small feats loudly, it’s okay to do it quietly. When you have time for yourself and you’re alone, you can reflect on what you’ve accomplished.

We forget to take time for ourselves these days because life is moving so fast. Time is moving at a rapid pace and we’re thinking of what’s next. I’m guilty of it and don’t stop to reflect on all that I’ve done. It’s really not until I write blogs and record podcasts and speak on what I’ve accomplished.

Let’s break out of our “it’s second nature” mindset of what we’re great at. Let’s be more aware of how impactful we are to the world.

That’s my blog for today, thanks for reading, be good and go accomplish your goals!
