Taking the Road Less Traveled

When you see people who are successful at what they do and are passionate about, what do you think about when it comes to them? Think about someone you look up to, admire or see doing well for themselves. Do you ever take the time to wonder how they go to where they are? If they went the traditional route or did they take the road less traveled?

I have moments like that with a few people I admire from a distance. When I learn of their story, it’s in those moments where I realize that I’m taking the road less traveled route and I’m okay with it. I did something most people have never done in life which is publish 60 books in 8 years. Then again, most people in the world have never published a book in their lives so when I think about it, it’s a very small percentage of us who have actually done it.

What I’m trying to get at is, when you’re passionate about something and you want to pursue it as a career, you don’t have to go down the road everyone else is going. We may look at the road to the right that’s full of cars on the highway and think that’s the way to go because everyone is going in that direction. But do we take the time to ask why no one is going down the road to the left?

We may think the road to the right may get us to our destination because everyone is doing it. But the road less traveled might take a little longer. The question is, are you willing to take the left road and it gets you to your destination a little later? I don’t know but it’s something that only you can answer for yourself.

I decided to go down the left road because it’s just who I am. Sometimes when you rush the process, it takes away from the fulfillment later on. I know I’ll get to where I want to be and need to be down the road. Whenever I’m meant to get to my destination, I will arrive and on time.

That’s my blog for today, thanks for reading, be good and go accomplish your goals!
