The unfortunate part of this world is the pressure that’s put on us to have our lives together by age 30. The reality is, a lot of people won’t have their lives together by 30. It’s the “golden age” where we should be married, have kids and own a home. With the way this world is constantly moving and changing, I’d be remiss to say, it’s not reality anymore.
There will be few and far between who get it all together and what I’m trying to say is, “it’s better to be late than not at all.” I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to have your career and passion figured out by age 30. Whether you believe it or not, there are a lot of people who don’t figure out what they’re passionate about until later on in their lives.
If you see and hear all of the stories of how people have changed their careers and achieved the success and fulfillment they want, it’s amazing to learn about. It’s good to hear these stories and know that you can change the course of your life at any given time. That you don’t have to stick to a career choice for the rest of your life.
Let’s stop obligating ourselves to having to be on time to everything in life. We find our careers and passions late sometimes. We fall in love late in our lives sometimes. We learn of ourselves gradually and progressively, not right away. Let’s change the narrative of having to have it all together by a certain timeframe.
Everyone’s journey is different and we all figure out our lives as it goes. Let things flow, start understanding that being late is better than not at all. We can live the lives we want and crave so let’s start focusing on that. Let’s embrace and love the journey we’re on whether it’s good, bad or indifferent.
We all have a story and the goal is to be able to tell it one day when we achieve the success we’ve worked so hard to achieve. That’s my blog, be good everyone and go accomplish your goals!
