It’s crazy what the world has become. Where we no longer are using our brains for creativity. We’ve become a world of an AI generated reality. We lack the ability to create things that are long lasting but more of things that we can make money off of. It’s all about the almighty dollar.
There’s websites where you can input an idea you have and a book can be generated within minutes. I’m starting to see them more and more on the internet and it’s very concerning. To think that someone can create a book in minutes, make it seem like they wrote it and then publish it on book platforms and make money from it.
There was no brainstorming, no writing out chapters, ideas or anything of that sort. There was no arduous hours spent writing the book, editing, rewrites, the time spent putting your book together. The book cover idea, formatting the book, deciding on how you’re going to market it, just writing a few sentences on a website and boom, you have a book to sell.
How do book publishing websites filter out the AI content from what’s real stories? Amazon can’t even keep top self-publishing and bestselling authors on their platforms because their platforms are being shutdown for plagiarism. Meanwhile these great writers have done all of the work and are incredible storytellers.
The future doesn’t look great if the AI path is there for the taking. We can have these conversations but what exactly is being done about filtering out these stories? Who knows but I hope it gets under control and quick.
Thankfully I’m a poetry prose writer and it’s harder to write the way I do. It’s something AI can’t replicate that’s for sure.
That’s my blog for today, thanks for reading, be good and go accomplish your goals!
