When things don’t workout or go our way in life, the first thing we want to do is give up. It’s the easiest thing to do and the easiest route to take. We feel that we’re not good enough or we’ve failed enough at things so it’s just best to go back to what we normally do and that’s it.
I can only imagine how you’re thinking and feeling. But here I will ask you this, are you okay with quitting now and not having any regrets? That’s something that’s important to ask because you can easily quit but years down the road, you don’t want to be the one reflecting on “what could’ve been.”
Alright, now it’s time to talk about giving it our all because we’re not quitters. We keep going, we fight through it, we get through the hurdles and know we’re going to succeed. We’re not going to think about stopping or quitting, we’re going to push ourselves to be great.
It’s way harder to give our all daily and consistently. It’s harder to be disciplined in all that we want to do. It’s harder to keep going day after day with no significant results. It’s harder to know that it will be a long time before we start seeing the fruits of our labor.
But don’t you want to say to yourself years from now that you gave your all in something you love rather than saying you quit? How proud you can be of yourself that you gave maximum effort in your passion whether it works out or it doesn’t. Even if it doesn’t, you may be preparing yourself to pursue something else so it may not be a waste of time on your end.
These are the things we don’t think about and process in our minds. Writing poetry for over 20 years on and off prepared me to write prose books on social issues. I didn’t know that was what was going to happen but it did. Then, I gave it my all and knew that I had something good going when I would get reviews from people who read my books.
All in all, I want you to be happy and successful in whatever your heart desires. It’s time to go be great and give it your all! Thanks for reading my blog today, be good and go accomplish your goals!
